The WSP

Before there was a State of Idaho, Boise High School has been in existence.  Almost from the very beginning the study and presentation of theatrical works has been a part of the curriculum and life of Boise High School.  Boise High Drama is respected throughout the state and the region for the quality of the productions and the outstanding training students receive while a part of the drama program.  Every year Boise High Drama graduates are placed in some of the finest colleges and universities in the nation.  Boise High drama exists to provide students with outstanding training and opportunities to develop as actors, technicians, directors and writers.  The WSP (Washington Street Players) is Boise High school’s drama club.  The club has been in existence since 1972.  Each year the WSP produces quality theatrical entertainment.  The current year’s season includes the following; Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – October; The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail- November;  The Tempest – December; Flaming Idiots – January; Mid-summer Night’s Dream – March and Greater Tuna and The Mad Hatters in April.  Contact our box Office for more information about the club and our presentations:  (208) 854-4310.  This year members of the WSP have been invited to perform at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is a singular honor which we are honored to accept.  Come see a show as we prepare to represent Boise High and the State of Idaho at the Fringe in the summer of 2012
